Jet2 announce New York Christmas shopping flights

Jet2 is to operate direct flights between Newcastle Airport and New York on December 2 and 9, the first ever flight from the airport to NYC. The flights, to Newark Airport are aimed at Christmas shoppers and cost from just under £360 return.
The airline offered a similar service from Leeds Bradford in December 2008 and is repeating it from its home hub this year. The schedule is the same as for Newcastle Airport, perhaps suggesting they may be ‘doubled up’ if it fails to attract sufficient demand at either airport.
