BA plane makes emergency landing
08.01.07
A British Airways plane is reported to have made an emergency landing at Newcastle last night. A passenger has reported that emergency services trailed the plane as it landed, and it remained on the taxiway for 15 minutes whilst it was checked over.
The passengers says that the BA 737 plane, on a flight from Heathrow, 'seemed to have a problem stopping after landing. It sounded like full reverse thrust was applied. This was followed by a very loud bang.'
The aircraft was then followed by the emergency services and remained on the taxiway for about 15 minutes. Neither BA nor Newcastle Airport were not immediately available for comment.
