Flybe to increase Jersey flights next summer
08.09.07
Flybe has announced that it will increase the frequency of flights on its Newcastle Airport - Jersey service from a single weekly flight to four flights a week next summer.
Rival airline Flyglobespan has also announced an increase in its flights to Jersey from Durham Tees Valley Airport from one to two flights a week next summer, so it would appear that the Channel island is a popular destination from the North East.
Flybe will operate the route each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from March 28. Fares are from £29.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, said: 'This route has proved extremely popular. With the addition of these three extra services, passengers are offered greater flexibility.'
