Summer Orlando flights announced

Cosmos Holidays will operate holidays flights direct from Newcastle Airport to Orlando, Florida, next summer. The flights will operate to Orlando’s Sanford Airport using a Monarch Airbus A330 plane, departing from Newcastle each Tuesday and returning in the early hours of Wednesday morning between May and August next year.
Dave Laws, the airport's chief executive, said: ‘We are delighted with this news, which means more families from the region can fly from Newcastle Airport directly to Florida next summer, saving considerable time and money.'
‘We know over 20,000 people from the region travel to Orlando from other UK airports. It is great that Cosmos will now offer this to give our customers more choice when travelling from their local airport.'
