Metro delays this weekend

Metro services will be suspended all day tomorrow and again on Sunday between Newcastle Airport and the Regent Centre, Gosforth. The closure is to allow for the replacement of the level crossing at Fawdon Metro station.
A replacement bus service (number 900) will be operated between Regent Centre and the airport, and will call at or near all the Metro stations along the route. All the bus stops will be signposted.
Metro director Mick Carbro said: ‘I apologise to passengers for the disruption the work is going to cause. It is vital to ensure this section of line remains one of the very best city centre-to-airport connections in the country.’
