BA accused of poor communication over flight cancellation

Passengers have accused British Airways of poor communication after they were removed from a flight minutes before it was due to depart over the weekend. The airline discovered a ‘technical problem’ on the plane that was about to operate a Heathrow flight on Saturday morning, causing chaos, the Sunday Sun reports.
Over 180 people were told to get off BA1321 from Newcastle Airport to Heathrow, scheduled to leave at 06:45. The passengers had boarded the Boeing 747 and put their seat belts on ready for take-off.
One of the stranded passengers was 45-year-old Marie Burns, of County Durham, who said BA’s communication was poor. The credit manager was due to take a 10:00 connection from Heathrow to New York, on a business trip. She said: ‘It was total chaos. We sat and waited in the lounge because they said they would update us within the hour - but they didn’t. It was ridiculous. They only had one person on the customer service desk.’
