Two in court after drugs find

Two Nigerian men have appeared in court following the discovery of 2 kg of cocaine at Newcastle Airport, the Journal reports. UK Border Agency officers found the drugs in the lining of a suitcase after the men arrived on a flight from Cameroon via Paris last Wednesday.
Chinaemerem Callistus Ukwanna Igboanusi, 25, of Tamworth Road, Fenham, Newcastle, has been charged with attempting to smuggle the Class A drug. Prince Tims Odunze, 30, from Ashton under Lyne, has been charged with conspiracy to smuggle drugs. Both were remanded in custody by Newcastle Magistrates this week.
