Newcastle Airport cuts car park fees

Newcastle Airport has responded to customer feedback by reducing the parking charges at its pick-up and drop-off site, the Echo reports. The fees have been halved to £1 for 20 minutes parking. Other tariffs have also been cut, with a £1 reduction on stays of 30 minutes and £1.60 off the cost of a 45-minute stay.
The airport has also retained the 5 minute free parking period for those dropping off or quickly picking up passengers. A spokesman said that 80% of the 1.5 million customers using this facility each year do so free of charge.
