Aer Lingus to re-launch Dublin flights
20.06.08
Aer Lingus is to re-launch flights between Newcastle Airport and Dublin this winter. The Irish airline will operate five flights a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) between the two cities from October 26.
Aer Lingus said the new service would provide customers from the North-East a gateway to the Irish capital and beyond, and Irish customers it offers greater access to the North East, which has proven popular with football fans in the past, including those wanting to support Nial Quinn and Roy Keane at Sunderland.
Chris Sanders, of Newcastle Airport, said ‘We are delighted that Aer Lingus is reintroducing this service. It is our busiest international low cost route and has become very popular for business and leisure trips in both directions.’
