Airport launch charity drive
29.05.11
A team of staff from Newcastle Airport have kicked off a series of events to raise money for the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). The group wore Roman costumes for a trek of over 80 miles across Hadrian's Wall, the start of a drive aimed at raising £30,000 for the charity.
This charity drive is part of the airport's 'Make A Difference' programme. Dave Laws, the airport's chief executive, said: ‘Customers may see the team if they travel over the summer. Please do talk to them about how they are doing and how you can get involved. We encourage all to show their generosity and help make a difference.’
